Well, she is supposedly going to release a new song VERY EARLY next year to promote UEDS and also a series of concerts or a tour....who knows, Alizee said this at a Nolween concert...

Sorry to say it will be way too late. Ueds has sailed. I wish she would put together her own band and do at least small venues to promote herself and remain relevant. Without legitimate promotion Alizee would be more likely to win the lottery or get struck by lightning.A large part of her previous success came about by the visual effect of Alizee being seen performing. Very few artists in the past and especially today can excell just on their sound unless they just get lucky with a catchy mega hit sound. I am boring myself. This has all been discussed numerous times from a thousand angles. I can only imagine how bored I have made this thread lol!

Ok people time for me to express what i have been wanting to publicly say for so long but havent out of respect for Alizee. Before I go on to say what I am going to say obviously I am still a fan of Alizee; otherwise I wouldn't be here right now.
Une Enfant Du Siecle, where to start; Why THE HELL would she pick a genre so alien to most of her fans......... why pick a genre that has been dead for several decades? The songs lack any sort of emotion yet alone any musical talent in terms of her singing; they just seem cut and dry/ creepy. I cant find one song I truely like, which was clearly not the case with her other albums. Those who say this album was even slightly above failure..... my what a fantasy world you live in, I hope you enjoy it there! Alizee single handed destroyed any of what was left of her name with this album and I dont think she will recover. Im sorry to break this to you guys, but im willing to bet Alizee will never be what she used to be and thats if she continues with music which also isnt looking too likely. I have been a big Alizee fan for a few years now and I still am, but I just think she doesnt know how to manage her career; leaving Mylene and Laurent was the biggest mistake of her career. She thought she knew and owned the game thats why she left them, but really she was just a pawn!

Une Enfant Du Siecle being a musical success only matters to her fans, so in our eyes in can be a musical success. To her non-fans, well, they don't really even know about the album so why does their opinion matter? The only thing that matters is what us fans think of it, because we are the only ones that pay attention to her. So, it can be a musical succcess if we want it to or we can view it as a musical failure, take your pick!

In Mexico, the album started at #22 and spent 5 weeks in the top 100. The album has sold just around twenty-thousand copies worldwide.

Selling 20 thousand albums is nowhere near a success, you know how much money Alizee makes on that......... she gets AT BEST 2 euros per cd sold.... that means she walked away with 40,000 euros (and I still think there's taxes to be taken away on top of that) ........ that's nothing! I am going to be making 55,000 dollars per year right out of college, just to put things in perspective there. Even the profit for the record company on this was probably extremely small.... so that is in no way a success. In terms of fans, look at this site alone.... activity from members is probably at its lowest point since I first joined .... now that has nothing to do with the site itself but everything to do with the interest in Alizee. So what does that tell you, interest in Alizee is at an all time low. She most certainly lost a lot of fans from this album and I can bet you almost anything Alizee is not happy with the outcome as well; I mean how could she be? Im sure fans arent happy about concerts being canceled on the spur of the moment but I dont know maybe im crazy and fans love that! Now that is not a success unless one lives in fantasy land! Yes I still like Alizee and have the deepest respect and admiration for her as well as im still a fan of hers, but im sorry people I am a realist not an idealist like many people in this world like to be! I learned in engineering real quick that ideal equations almost never work in the real world.... and it is the same with whats going on with Alizee. Wake up people.... if you keep saying "Alizee's sh*t dont stink" it is not helping her develop her music! We as true fans have to let her know what specifically we didnt like.... it is our jobs as true fans to offer her honest feed back even if it may hurt her a little bit.... it will most certainly pay off in the long run. She is a grown women, older than many members on this forum, she doesn't need our protection so stop making it like she is a little girl; give it to her straight and drop the sugar coating!
