It is really hard trying to learn a language by yourself (I tried Spanish but decided to wait and take lessons), but I was lucky I grew up in a bilingual province so we took French starting at grade one, and took it all the way to grade12. And being this area is one of the French areas of Canada, Campbellton is 50% French, you are exposed to it everyday making it easier to learn. And in this part of the country if your not bilingual you don't get a good job.

oof! yes, i think, that french language is very important in Canada, becouse french is second language in Canada, yes?

Well in Toronto most people don't seem to care much for French. I like it though it's got a nice sound, everything flows. However, the french here, mostly in Quebec, is slightly different sounding french. Although I haven't looked into the differences yet.
