I would say so. I don't know how she felt about things at that point in her life. I had no awareness of her then. I know she feels very good about coming back to her career now. And I would also say that continuing to perform on that level of intensity, and having a child, were incompatible. So whether it was planned that way or not, she had to take a break if Anny-Lee was to be born. Would she want that not to have happened? I hardly think so. And also, she needed to go in a different direction musically. She couldn't continue as Mylène's protegée forever.

If it was a misfortune, if it was Mylène's and/or Laurent's decision to end the partnership against Alizée's choice, then it was fortunate misfortune. Sometimes a lucky star can shine in patterns that are hard to see from the ground.

Quite right, Deep. The path she has taken and the experiences she has had have prepared her for what is to come now. I think it's going to be great, but however it turns out, she will be the better for it.

Well I'm sure they were talking about the concert in Le Harve. Alizée was ill that day and broke down in tears on stage because she couldn't continue with the show.
Alizée had performed most of her songs, it was a sad occasion for many of her fans who were there though because they didn't like to see her upset.

Alizée was wonderful that day and showed how proffesional she was and how much she cared about her fans. Considering she was not very well, she shouldn't have performed at all but she didn't want to dissapoint her fans.

I remember reading Cristelles review of that concert and she said she was in tears aswell. Cristelle used to be the webmistress of www.Cors'Alizée.com which closed years ago for anyone who doesn't know.
