Boy would that suck if you spent all that money to get him to number one and they didn't play his song.

So, it was 8:22pm France time when you posted that. And yes, they have news commercials whatever in between songs in order to make the 15 song countdown last exactly an hour (or as close as they can get). So, they probably played his song.
Yeah, they really need to be careful. After all, people are paying for this stuff, some of them a significant amount of money. So, pretty cool to be able to get Lilly Town or whatever played on the radio by sheer will, eh?

It is impressive, and I think it worked to Alizée's advantage to be in 2nd place because her song was played before the news break effectively capping the countdown. I don't know about you, but if I'm listening to music and the station starts playing news, I switch to another station.
