The reason she pronounced her name differently is not because the song is in English, its because she had to pronounce it differently to fit with the songs beat.


The lyrics are " Will.I.am and Britney, Bitch"

if she pronounced her name the way she normally does ( ah-lee-zay) it would not have fit the beat. You will notice they even took out the "and" between the two names, what was sung was " you are now now rockin with Will.I.Am Alizee, bitch."

Well I mean, you may not but I think Alizée does (though you're probably right on the beat thing)

This example isn't her name, but the word "America" in her Scruffy's hello videos btw

I think it was an opportunity for her to do something fun, and she had fun doing it. Even though as fans we have differing tastes in music, even among Alizée's songs, she has her own preferences also.

She get's starstruck too, just like anyone else. Notice how excited she was to see Nikos' photos of her and Will.I.Am together?

I doubt many Alizée fans would pass up an opportunity to go up like that and (try) to sing one of her songs with her. Regardless of what anyone might say who watched it.

And last, I don't think there are going to be any lasting effects from her performance with him. People who don't like her still won't, and probably never will.

As always, just my random thoughts.

I agree with Ray. People weren't exactly chanting her name all day and night outside her hotel before that performance. If anyone turns away because of it then maybe they weren't gonna stick around anyway.

As for Katy Perry, for all the hype I see about her on TV, you would think that she could at least sing a song of her's live, without sounding poorly.

My wife likes to watch E! News about what is going on in Hollyweird. I cannot believe how some of their stories are about a personality who is not doing anything significant on the day E is reporting about them. It's a real stretch at best. And please, don't get me started on the Kardashians!

Personally, and for all it's worth (not much btw - I would prefer that Alizée sing solo or at least with someone of a genre more suited to her voice. It almost seems like her management team is trying too hard to get her to fit in. While I find this clip of her with Will-i-am (weird way to spell a name) "cute" (but ONLY because she's in it)- it's not something I will watch more than once. I hope this is not an indication of the direction her new album will take.

Speaking of Britney, she just got a two year gig in Las Vegas paying $15 million a year. Sounds good right?, Well Celine Dion is getting paid $100 million a year and Cher is getting $60 million a year to perform on the strip.

To be perfectly honest, I think what she did with Will-I-am is a direction she would have preferred to have gone in if she had a say in the way her career first developed, but thank God, MF and LB came along and brought out that incredibly beautiful princess inside of her.

As far as Britney only making a fraction of what Celine is getting, that's easily understandable. Celine has an incredible voice compared to Britney and Britney used to put on a good show, but she's no spring chicken and she certainly isn't the eye candy she used to be. Still Las Vegas seems to be a mecca for fading stars, so it doesn't.........well actually it does and it doesn't surprise me. It doesn't seem like she should be able to pull in that much, but a lot of performers of varying degrees of talent, do get a fat pay check for performing there for drawing customers to their casinos.
