I think Ben is right. Someone could probably set up a concert and make her an offer worth her while, but no one would know about it other than her fan base and it would do nothing to further her career in the USA. Demand must be increased outside of her current fan base, thus increasing its size. When there is enough demand, she can establish a sustained presence here. That’s what would pay off for everyone in the long run.

This is not something I think Alizée or her record company want to invest time and money on. If it’s going to happen, I think it has to be done by the fans here. If it doesn’t happen during her next album cycle, the odds that it will ever happen may get worse.

Yelle has taken a different approach and has already played across the USA and she has gotten herself on TV here. I think she’s proven that a French singer can have some success here. I don’t think Alizée is willing to do the same thing. But if we build it, she will come.

Heres the ticket, I believe Alizee will come to America, and we have to thank our amigos south of the border for making it happen. Alizee has obviously focused her attention on Mexico concerts, lucky for us in America the hispanic population is the fastest growing segment of our population. Her management already knows this and the best part of management is they are always looking for more more more money. In a purely economic way of looking at it, who will fill the stadiums if she comes? Her base of fans who have been blessed to have heard of her via the internet? Or the relatives and friends of people who have already seen her perform? Have heard it said that she dosent want anything to do with American show biz, but how long til she tires of south of the border chaos? It will happen my friends, just follow the rules below.

Yeah but not all hispanics in the US are Mexican. Plus I doubt she is widely known throughout the American Hispanic public.

The Question begs to be asked," How did she get so big in Mexico to begin with?" The saying goes that history repeats itself, just sometimes you have to go back to find the answer. Whether or not she is already known is not the point, we need to make her known.......we know her audience is waiting.
The town I live in is fairly small but no retailers carry Alizee cds, this would be the first effort, to establish a need from retailers to stock her cds. Anyone up for flooding some email inboxes? Refer to rule #2 above

^also try a in person visit to the store and give the manager or anyone I guess a CD or hers to listen to chances are that they will take it and play it for people that they think would be interested in buying the album

local record stores are usually pretty open to their customers bringing them new music

Hey guys, I'm seriously considering making the Aguascalientes event.

My gut is telling me that Lilly will be there early and/or later to perhaps check out the local color and events.

Has anyone heard any scuttlebutt about possible pre or post concert meet and greet opportunities?

Well, this girl that organizes the event is often online in MSN, and I guess I could ask her some couple questions, though I dunno what any questions guys? apart from what AAA asked?

I know that she will perform about 2 hours (which seems to be too much ), though I will ask this girl by myself.

Interesting. That's nearly twice as long as the concerts from the Psychedelices tour. I'm intrigued to see how she pads it out, now. More songs from Gourmandises and MCE? Or maybe some material from the upcoming album? Curious!

I'm very tempted to go, I'm not gonna lie, but I know next to nothing about Aguascalientes. And given that you have to buy the tickets in pairs...
