A long and drawn out friday. Wonderful weather. Not too cool. Not too warm. Had a calculus test that I didn't study for AT ALL. But I feel confident in my results as I knew way more than I thought I would on the test. And finally ... the absolute best part of my day, my week, this year, possibly my entire life... I recieved my autographed CD!!! When I recieved the call from my brother that the package was waiting for me at the house, a rush of adrenaline came to me lol. I got things ready to roll and made the 15minute trip home. I don't think it has ever been harder to drive the speed limit (But I did. Safety first kids . Got home, went straight to the box on the table, took it to the living room and opened it. So many emotions and things rushed through me as I burst out in joy lol.
Sorry if I sound a bit crazy lol. But I'm still somewhat of a new fan as I only discovered her like at the beggining of last summer, found and joined this forum in february, and this is my first physical purchase of anything of hers. Also this is my first autographed item from a musician/famous person (and its from my dream girl!!! lol) So I guess you could say I had a pretty good day Thanks to everyone who made the autograph signing possible, Scruffy, and Alizée

Bad. Saturday started... and ended in the same moment - about 2 hours ago. Most of you probably still sleep, but anyway. I won't write it for second time, you can read it on CNN. I'm still too shocked to write anything more.

Still f***ing bad day. Everything is bad, very bad. But how it could be good if you see your president coming to Country in a coffin? It's just my day and the same for other Polish people, pretty bad.

Wow, really? I'm sorry, criss. Rather dark day for your country. I hope you have a better day, but this will probably have quite long lasting effects.

Yeah, I read about that. The plane crash right?
That's very tragic, even moreso seeing as how he was headed over to pay respects to fallen officers. So many important people... just gone like that. I can only send my condolences and wish the best for you and the rest of Poland.

Quote:
Not only president and his wife. But also the former President of the Polish government-in-exile, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Culture, President of the National Bank of Poland, Chief of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland, Head of the National Security Bureau, Secretary of State in the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland Military figures, whole command of Polish army, what o coincidence like Commanders of the Polish Air Force, Polish Land Forces, Polish Navy, Polish Special Forces, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, a lot of religious personals, parliament members including deputy speakers of both houses. Only very important people in Poland. There will be many bad days in next week, month, maybe year, but I hope we turn to normal life as quick as possible. |

Wow, that is terrible... All those people, some very important figures. This is probably the worst political tragedy in recent history. I wonder what Poland will do to recover. You will keep us informed? I would like to see how this goes. I have never heard of such a thing randomly happening, it is actually quite suspicious. All those leaders, all at once. How can a body function without a head? Does Poland have any sort of plan yet? Keep us posted!

I'm about to pop my eyeballs! My allergies make them irritate them and make them itchy as hell! I've been rubbing them all day, failing miserably at trying to leave them alone. ZGAAAHH!!

I play catch with the ol' baseball with a couple of kids from school for about 20 minutes yesterday...
I've been paying for it ALL DAY... just shows that at my advanced age I can't keep up with these whippersnappers

How was my day? The Hungarian national elections were held on Sunday. Here we have a period called campaign silence, exactly 24 hours before the voting begins. Some leading people really screwed things up, so the last people could only vote around 4:00 am of the next day, and the campaign silence lasted until the late evening, so the TV was not permitted to broadcast results until around 10:00 pm (while it should have begun at 7:00 pm). Anyway, the leading (conservative) party got 55%, and the socialists (who had been governing for the last four years) got 17%. The practically neo-Nazi party got 16%. When all is decided with the district elections a week from now, the victorious conservative party will probably have a 2/3 majority, which means they will have the right to modify the constitution. So how was my day? I was excited about the results, and was blasted with propaganda everywhere.
