[2013-03-25] Album "5"

I like how they can show you a mirror, but can't give you a Album Title or a song sample from any of the other songs that they have done.

Seems there focus is on making a Hat Box Special Edition with a mirror then it is about making music.

If the album could be finished in 2013 only then why did they release the single? After all single is release to promote the album. Releasing the single so early and letting it fade away defeats its whole purpose. It has been 2 and half months since release of the single, so my guess is that album is almost complete and something else is holding them off.

Overall, it's not a good situation at all.

There are a lot of possibilities as to why the delay. For example, a friend of mine was in a band that got a recording contract and were assigned to a producer. They recorded the whole album, but just after it was finished they were assigned to a new producer. The new producer didn't like the album and put it on the shelf and refused to release it. But the record company wouldn't release the band from their 5 year contract so they couldn't make any progress for 5 years. They just gave up.

I'm not saying Alizée was given a new producer, but someone at the record company may have decided they wanted everything reworked. Like I said, there are many possibilities for the holdup. But it does seem like things were moving forward on a given timeline, and then someone or something intervened and interrupted it.
