My optomitrist knows I'm an Alizee fan and he told me that a french lab has made a new type of optical lens. The name: Alizee

How cool is that?

Wink I See Lili People

Well, my vision is getting a bit fuzzy. Maybe, I should look into that.

I'd like to see those too.

I recently put RMJ's Rainbowlizée as my computer's desktop at work. Well, that attracted some attention. After I told one woman that it was Alizée, she actually thought I was joking at first as she knew Alizé to be a brand of alcohol.
Alizée said her parents were fond of windsurfing and that's how they thought of the name. Or, maybe they were just drunk when she was conceived (http://www.alize.com/). Maybe they were sharing a Kama Sutra http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink668.html

Alizé means "tradewind" in French. It is after that word that the alcohol is named. Alizée's parents simply added a second E on the end to make it feminine when they named her, hence the similarity.

The dessert, in this case though, is named specifically after our Lili :-)

However, I have recently learned that the liqueur sauce that accompanies the sorbet in the desert is made with Alizé... so there is that connection there as well.

I had dinner at La Crème Brûlée last Wednesday night and it was excellent as always. I had the framed 8x10 of Lili on my table and I got the only serving of the poisson in the house (their last fresh shipment was short) on Dominique's and Bertrand's recomendation and is was perfect. Everytime I go there I keep thinking I have to update what my favorite dish of Bertrand's is. I plan to eat my way through the entire menu once before eating the same item twice.

I won't be able to attend, but I'll be in Europe at the same time though.

You should be posting on the thread for the current/upcomming Virtual Concert, not the old one unless you are talking about the previous one
