That was The Order of the Phoenix, which is actually the first Harry Potter film I saw. That was around the time I started liking Harry Potter, and I was a huge fan for about a year, but I started to lose interest before the next film came out.

yes... of course we still have the books and one day I'll give them to my children but it's such a strange feeling to realise that there will be no Potter film anymore you can wait for... when the last book was out I was sad too but also happy that I finally got to know how the story ended. So I wasn't totally sad because I still had the upcoming films.. I spend 11 days of my life with Harry Potter, with waiting for something new... new book... new film... now it's (nearly) over... it's really strange to say goodbye...

by the way JKR created a new Potter page and no one has any idea what it will be about! Tomorrow it will be revealed... I'm sure it's something really cool!!

So sad that it's all finally ending. I remember seeing the very first movie and being so enthralled by that world, and wanting to be a part of it.

I watched the whole series in succession this week and I realized just how much everything has changed, both in my life and in theirs. In the first movie, so much wonderful, whimsical stuff happened. It was warm and friendly and funny. Then, with each movie, it got darker and darker, and with their lives came more hardship and grief. It's life happening, but in a more.. fantastic way.

Is it just me, or has our generation synced perfectly with them? They grew up along with us, our world got more complicated as theirs did. In a sense we all grew up together.

that's a good point. but I think every generation would feel like that not only ours... I mean every generation has to struggle with the world and it's problems. This makes the books to real. That the people, the witches and wizards in the books have the some problems then their readers. it's just a bit more magical...

By the way have you only seen the films or have you also read the novels?

The books or so much better than the movies, you really have to read all the books. If you only see the movies, there are so much you miss and you don't understand everything fully. A lot of the stuff in the book is never shown on screen.

2 days left! I'm going to see the premiere at midnight.

Preview tonight! HP7 I + II in a rush! I'm so excited...

Sometimes it's cool to live in Germany... not only that the preview is tonight at midnight (2 days before the US release) , the film will be also in cinemas on Wednesday, one day before the official Germany release (films normaly start on Thursday)...

P. S. nice, AAm got new Smileys...

Edit:

oh my... It was just epic... a feast for your senses, a delight to watch, with calmer as well as really thrilling parts, so emotional but it also had its funny moments.... it was just magical with great special effects... it was a perfect ending of the series. Yes, there are some differences from the book but these don't matter. Just enjoy it! Some scenes just took my breath away... and it started so calm...

and it's such a great feeling to sit in a cinema full of HP fans (even if you don't know any of them)... it's so cool when all people are laughing, screaming etc. at the same time... and some scenes (don't want to spoil it so I won't tell you) also got rounds of applause

It was pure awesomeness!

The last scene... it didn't look like they were 36, it just looked weird...
