The picture of lion king you posted was the soundtrack, not the movie.

I finally watched this movie and although I had a lengthy revue, I will cut it down to this. There was a lot of hype with this movie and I was expecting to be blown away by it's graphics and special effects, instead I was blown away by the story in it...
I was surprised to read afterwards a lot of negative comments on the internet on this movie on racial and political issues, all I saw was a beautiful story about courage, love and the constant fight we have with those who are always looking of ways to advance themselves by taking advantage of others. Nothing new there, but it's the way it was presented and the small details that made the difference. Of course the graphics plays a big part in the way the story is presented. The characters were well played out by both the animated and the on screen actors, I really loved the quirks and expressions the female indigena Neytiri had, and the story concept was just superb in my opinion. It gave a new and true meaning to the concept to be one with the universe. To see what's truly inside of anyone and to value them by this is beyond any racial issues, that's what the concept behind the "I see you" salute was. As far as any political issues, the fact is there is a lot of history behind abuse of power from all sides of the continent, and it doesn't matter if it's minerals or oil or whatever they're always exploiting others for their own selfish reasons, it's art imitating life in my opinion. I also truly believe we humans were meant to be a lot more connected with the planet we live in, maybe not as connected as the native characters in the movie were with their planet, but definitely a lot more then we are now. In any case this movie is well worth watching, for the special effects or for the special story in it.

The graphics and special effects were great, but the real treat was the awesome story |

That being said I still enjoyed the movie, and not only for the visual effects and design. The story, although derivative, did have some additional, more original variations which still made it interesting as it's own retelling in it's own right. But I'm not going to attribute any great originality or greatness to Avatar's story since it is derivative of earlier works.

I so enjoyed this movie!
8/10 (http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/u...ster-rambo.jpg) I won't be as graphic, but watching them bad guys get their comeuppance was so satisfying. I just hate, absolutely HATE it when armed soldiers kill and rape unarmed civilians and act all badass about it. So watching Rambo remove various body parts and organs from them with extreme aggression made me happy!
