I think if she did a few things different with the album, it had the potential of being a good comeback album. |

I don't know. I agree about its "hidden" potential, but I don't know if it could have been good for a comeback. Did she do anything different for its promotion a part from her DALS appearance?

I'm just wondering how many of her worldwide fans wishing she would do another album didn't buy Blonde? |

Charles Est Stone is an earache, and I never listen past the first few seconds so I can skip it. I enjoy the rest of Blonde though. |

Edit: "Colorful" is probably the best word to describe this album. Really spot on

We all have different tastes in music though we are all Alizee fans. To me, Blonde had the best chance of becoming an album. I really enjoy Alcaline and K.O.. They are on my regular play list. It really helps out a song to have a good video or performance with it. The story told in Alcaline is a simple one and it could have made for a great video which wouldn't have taken much money to produce.
One of the big mistakes in the promotion of Blonde was she often looked mediocre on stage, while great off stage. Here is one outfit from the Blonde 'era'. Attachment 2849 There's only one person who could pick out an outfit that bad. Now I wont name names, but her initials are Alizee Lyonnet. You can't blame Pascal for that. The other outfits she wore on stage were not as bad, but certainly they would fall into the lame category imo. Another big mistake made was Blonde was the fact they only made one video. I mentioned she's competing with the big boys. She's in the major leagues, trying to make it. You don't have that strong a voice to carry the day. If you can't produce more than one video to help you out considering how beautiful and what a great dancer you are, assets you should take advantage of, you have little hope of success, especially if choose the wrong song to make that one video which she did and you choose poor outfits to wear during the promotion. Pascal Obispo was in no way responsible for the failure of this album. Who ever thought the Blonde video would sell this album, who ever thought those outfits she wore during the promotion were a good idea, should never be allowed to direct the production of an album again and I'm sure it wasn't Pascal. Edit: For some reason, I had a very strong urge to watch this video in the shortened version I prefer, right after I made this post. https://youtu.be/PI1-37rXM74?t=13 Last edited by Scruffydog777; 03-28-2021 at 03:21 PM.. |

I saw a comment like this on youtube:
Quote:
1) People who say the boring songs are the problem. 2) People who say that the plain hair and the second-rate clothing are the problem. I think the boring songs are the main problem (but the plain hair and the second-rate clothing certainly don't help matters.) |

Anyway I would add: 3) promotion problems and mistakes I think Psychédélices and 5 are high quality products, so in my opinion the problem is elsewhere. I would say the promotion of the albums. Or just the fact that people don't like Alizée the singer and they want Alizée the performer. Many artists are given negative feedback after a change in their styles, not because they aren't good but because people were used to that image. If you talk about Ueds, I think it was a predictable failure. Those songs are too unusual, most people are not used to that kind of sound. But, in my opinion, it is the most sincere album of Alizée, speaking of music style. So I'm fine with it, even though it is the album that I like the least. Blonde has all three problems lol
