I'm just glad she didn't trip over it, how embarressing would it have been if she took a nasty spill because of it?

Our chances of what?
Edit: Yes, acetone, and that flag most likely is touching the ground. But, I am fairly sure a flag of that size is most likely not silk, and if I am not mistaken, a nonsilk flag does not fall as strictly under those rules. But the military only uses silk flags, so that doesn't matter. Civilians don't have to follow those rules, though if I ever dropped a flag, I would burn it. Wasabi, I have an uncle who is an MSG in the air force, and he confirmed that (under usual circumstances) the Air Force does burn flags too. Scruffy, if she had tripped, I would not be mad. I would immedately have a feeling of 'Aww, poor Alizée !' about 1000000x stronger than her knee made me feel in J'en Ai Marre !

But unfortunately, your uncle isn't attached to the Air Force detachment I'm talking about. I'm sure that the rest of the military does in fact adhere to the regulations.

Man so I have finally heard cases where people do burn the flag! That is quite interesting...One would think burning one's country's flag would be a huge disgrace, but eh, i guess it would be soiled...

Oh ok, so it's sort of like putting it to rest/retiring it? Cause that would make much more sense.
