Charlie Chaplin's "A Woman of Paris"
I saw this post by Lanfranchi Blanche Jean Baptiste on FB.
The English translation read "The new version of Charlie Chaplin's show in Paris will be Hollywood!". If I read it right and I'm certainly not sure of this, there is a play or a film that will be playing in Paris (?)for a year I believe based on a movie he produced called 'A Woman in Paris". Now unlike his comedic roles, he only made a brief cameo appearance in the original film and this is a serious drama. "The exterior scenes were shot outside the Ansonia Apartments on W 6th Street and Lake Street, Los Angeles, California." "It can be considered the first Chaplin feature, since it is the first one made by the company he co-founded United Artists" It sounds like a good movie and I will watch it by renting it from Amazon. This is what the Amazon site says about the plot. "A woman is betrayed and cast aside by her would-be fiance and ends up a "kept" woman in the company of the disreputable Adolphe Menjou.".
