Cool Mixes & Mashups
Cool Mixes and Mash-Ups:
Hey... do you want to hear some really cool DANCE Mixes and/or Mash-Ups? I though that you might like to hear a few for summer fun. So, you say you don’t know what a Mash-Up is? **** “Consists of the combination (usually by digital means) of the music from one song with the a cappella from another. Typically, the music and vocals belong to completely different genres. At their best, bastard pop songs strive for musical epiphanies that add up to considerably more than the sum of their parts.” Mash-Up Definition: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bastard_pop **** In other words a Mash-Up is 2 or more songs stacked together like a layered cake and played at once. But they don’t play the entire song, just parts of different songs (like the melody of one and the lyrics of another) as described in the above definition from Wikipedia.org. If done correctly, the Mashup can (many times) be better than the original, as you will find out. I’ve posted links to some of my favorite Mixes and Mash-Ups (here) in this posting so you can download them and enjoy them during the summer. I’ve posted some good ones so you can have a nice small (starter) collection, if you want them. That is, unless this post is deleted. HAVE A NICE SUMMER AND BE SURE TO LISTEN TO THESE FANTASTIC MIXES AND MASHES. * Get MP3ext here http://www.mutschler.de/mp3ext/ it's a small, great, free program that will put icons on your MP3s that will show the bit rate of each song in the Windows file manager (Explorer.) You can also use the program to tag MP3s by right-clicking on the MP3 and then selecting "Properties." If you ever install some other program that plays MP3s, that (newly installed) program will probably change the icons back. Just reinstall MP3ext to change them back to the cool looking icons. * Get MP3Gain here http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/ it's free and easy to use. It's the best program that I've ever found to normalize your MP3s (Bring high volumes down and bring low volumes up) to a common volume without actually re-encoding the MP3. Ok, I'm finished with the Mixes and Mashes or at least all that I'm going to post. See the original post (above this post) to download any of the great songs that you would like to have. Have fun and have a great summer!

What about mixes and mash ups to Alizees songs? Like at the end of her DVD en Concert, they played that im not twenty mix...
Also the Fun TV interview.. the show played mixes to her songs there also. The Alizee in Japan video, they also played song mixes from Alizees music. Where can i find Alizee song mixes to download? Last edited by Matrix; 07-17-2006 at 06:45 PM..

Also, you can download Alizee music and videos using any P2P software like KLR (Kazaa Lite Resurrection) and eMule. Just type Alizee in the search box and "Voila!" If you use the P2P then don't download anything under about 4Mb in size because the song will probably be 128Kbps (FM Radio quality, but pretty good.) Shoot for the 5 - 10Mb range (or greater) which will probably be 192Kbps (CD quality), 224Kbps (Studio quality) or 320Kbps (Oversampled quality.) The higher the bit-rate the higher the quality of the song (more Bass, more Treble, etc) but the larger the file size. 192Kbps is very, very good, that's what I shoot for. If you downloaded the program (MP3ext) that I linked on the bottom of (Cool Mixes and Mashes) then you'll have an icon on each MP3 (from within Windows Explorer - the file manager) that displays the bit-rate.
