Default Alizée Trivia

I thought this would an interesting thread to start. A lot of the trivia, many of our regular posters may know, but there may be observers who don't so keep that in mind when you post a trivia bit and I'd like to see anyone post who thinks they have something of note.

The first trivia question is an easy one. How did Alizée get her name????

Her parents were fans of windsurfing, and thus decided to name their daughter after the trade winds, or "alizé" in French. The extra 'e' is a feminization of this word.

Okay, slightly more challenging... What did the government person say to Alizée's father as he was registering his young daughter's name?

Sth like: Alizée? What kind of name is this? Don’t you want to add a second name in case your child doesn’t like it (the name) later?

I was curious if the masculine Alizé is pronounced the same as the feminine Alizée?

Of course me being a military buff, when I first did research on that name, I found out there was a French naval patrol plane by that name. It was first built in 1956.

I remember reading in interviews from years back, how she had been teased about her glasses, but it wasn't until an interview this year that I heard she was teased about what at that time was looked upon as an unusual name.

I bet you after 1999, nobody teased her anymore!

I came across this page when doing some more research.

I also read this in a baby name bible;

I think it's pronounced the same in either case. For example in the song "L'alizé" there is the line "C'est léger, c'est l'alizé" which sounds just like "Alizée" to me.

I know are some OTR busses by Vanhool called Alizé, and I've even seen a portable generator on Amazon France also called Alizé.

Next question;

During what performance did Alizée have trouble with the microphone mounted on her head set?

Strike one. I should have specified the performance I'm talking about is from what I will refer to in this and other posts here as the early years and that's from 1999 to 2004 or the MF years. It's entirely possible she had trouble with her head set (Is that the proper terminology?)on other occasions than the one I'm talking about but I've worked with all these early videos on just about a frame by frame basis and I don't remember any others.

One clue: It happened on mainland Europe, outside of France.

Thanks for the clue.. you must mean this J'en ai marre performance where she adjusts her head set around the 0:43 and 1:30 minute mark.
