Group G (Brazil, Portugal, Ivory Coast, North Korea) is being touted as the Group of Death this time around. Poor Ivory Coast always seems to get stuck in the toughest group.

Interesting side note: 3 of the 4 teams in Group B were also in the same group at World Cup 1994 (Argentina, Greece, Nigeria).

My thoughts.....it was a unproffessional call from the two refs. and above all from the FIFA. There is no question or doubt that was an intentional handball foul. The worst part takes it the FIFA in not considering replaying the match or qualifying Ireland to the World Cup. This is just a lack of professionalism from various people.

Well we are very excited here and pleased to face off against Mexico in the opener.
The vibe in Cape Town (my hometown) was amazing yesterday, the atmosphere was electric!
Good times ahead!

Oh god, it has to be the worst World Cup begining of all time for my country.

Getting away with that kind of handball, pretty much EVERYONE saw it, on live like me, or on the internet, the news...

Everybody asked for a rematch in the end, the FIFA didn't care, why?
This is the worst way to "win".
After the match was over I said "Screw this, we sucked badly, the coach sucks big time and needs to quit, Ireland should have won, with our team of loafers we're not gonna make it this time."

Seriously, good luck South Africa, it's your World Cup!
