Suggestion for eliminating the Spammers.

On another board (automobile) we restricted new member sign ups between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM CST. On another board I'm on (Financial) they will not let a newbee post for 48 hours after their initial sign up. Also they can't put links in until they have 10 posts after that. It has eliminated probably 95% of all the spam on the boards. Just a couple of suggestions that may help on this board. I so despise these people, I just love hitting that ban button as much as I enjoy seeing Alizée.

I third that motion... but I also think that we, as regular forum members, need to start using the report spam button more often than we do the little emoticon!...

Btw, who is on the other end of that report spam notice? And are we checking them often?

Lastly... can we update the sites appearance? I think we should change the forum colors to Alizee blue!! (not a real color but it should be!) ... the light blue color of Alizee with a hint of faded white...like windows 7's classic colors..

All the reported posts are checked everyday and necessary action is taken on regular basis.

how many kudos does one have to receive to earn another green square on his or her reputation bar? and why does it limit my ability to give kudos to the same people? I think the limit should be set on how often you give recognition to a certain person, like one per 2 weeks... rather than forcing me to "spread" them before coming back to the one deserving them.

also, can we modify the way the reputation bar looks?

There is something that always bugs me. In the ALIZEE discussion section, there is a "other singers, not alizee" thread. Shouldnt that thread be in a non Alizée related sub-forum? Since it is not an Alizée topic? I mean....it even says in the title....not Alizée lol.

It is of course not a huge deal, but looks quite silly, and is just something that annoys me everytime I see it
