Eiffel tower - J'ai pas vingt ans
I don't know if this is something somebody else may have thought of and posted. It seems like something that someone should have thought of long ago. I've been so busy lately that I didn't have time to check for myself.
It's from Alizée's performance at the Eiffel Tower where she sings J'ai pas vingt ans. The original video is a little over 7 minutes long. She sings during the first 4 minutes, then during the last 3, she is standing on stage with the emcee, sometimes talking to her. During these last 3 minutes, there are some incredibly beautiful clips of Alizée. I often watch the singing part, but seldom watch the last 3 minutes because I grow weary of hearing the other woman jabbering, so I figured I'd take those clips from the last 3 minutes and splice them into the first 4. It's not a dramatic difference, but I like it and figured I go ahead in post it in case anyone else did. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kD4ACICK6Jw&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kD4ACICK6Jw&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Rapid Share: http://rapidshare.com/files/26182344..._-__Aliz_e.mpg <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/g_lyG91sefs&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/g_lyG91sefs&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Last edited by Scruffydog777; 07-30-2009 at 06:20 PM.. |

Hey SDB.
I think maybe you misunderstodd what I was saying. That is the pretty much the same video I used for this, but what I did was take clips from the last 3 minutes of the video and merge them into the first 4. |

this made me think; has there ever been an accident at an Alizée performance? Somebody tripping on stage, a light falling over.......

if Alizee herself has ever had a small trip or fall, without hurting herself or anything of course! i would find that to be unbelieveable cute. i dunno why, but it would be adorable to me.

Was that New Years, I see a little clock thing...Oh and this is lip singing beyond...anything.
Oh and the thing on her very pretty butt is playing the music for her so she knows what to sing.

Well according to the AA video library, this took place on June 21st, so negatory on the New Years clock theory. I do wonder what the counting logo thingy is though (countdown to Summer Solstice?), and what sort of concert was this? Multiple acts or just our girl?
-B **EDIT** It helps if you watch the whole video and read the subtitles (slaps self on back of head). It was some kind of celebration for the re-lighting of the Eiffel Tower. The clock was counting down to the re-lighting

I'm terribly disappointed you guys don't know the history of this video. The occassion was to celebrate the completion of a series of strobe lights all up and down the tower. They had put some up temporarily a couple of years before and it was such a big success that they decided to put a permanent set up. The countdown was for when they were going to turn on these lights for the first time. There were reportedly over 350.000 people in attendance.
In december of 2007, I went to Paris to get Alizée's autograph when she released her Psych album. I knew something had been done with the lights on the tower due to this video, but I had no idea what. The night that I got Alizeée's autograph, afterwardsI decided to walk over towards the tower, which I hadn't seen to this point, to do some sight seeing. I was walking down a hill when I saw the end of a street that had a series of red Christmas lights on all the trees that lined it. I walked down to get a closer look. When I turned the corner, I saw up between these trees with the beautiful red Christmas lights, was the Eiffel tower with all these strobe lights flashing off and on. What an awesome sight. Unbelievable! It turns out that they turn on these lights at night at the top of each hour for 10 minutes and to have turned that corner when these lights were on was just a stroke of incredible luck. I'll never forget it. |

Here's a video that someone else had posted on Youtube of these lights. There's no comparison to seeing it directly for yourself.
