In december of 2007, I went to Paris to get Alizée's autograph when she released her Psych album. I knew something had been done with the lights on the tower due to this video, but I had no idea what. The night that I got Alizeée's autograph, afterwardsI decided to walk over towards the tower, which I hadn't seen to this point, to do some sight seeing.
I was walking down a hill when I saw the end of a street that had a series of red Christmas lights on all the trees that lined it. I walked down to get a closer look. When I turned the corner, I saw up between these trees with the beautiful red Christmas lights, was the Eiffel tower with all these strobe lights flashing off and on. What an awesome sight. Unbelievable! It turns out that they turn on these lights at night at the top of each hour for 10 minutes and to have turned that corner when these lights were on was just a stroke of incredible luck. I'll never forget it.

Hey Scruffy, thanks for sharing this experience with us. I did know that this occasion was to celebrate something about the lights of the Eiffel Tower, but I didn't know about all those details you said.
I think this is one of the greatest JPVA performance ever. Alizée, the Eiffel tower as the background, JPVA, everything was just awesome. And I don't know if all the evenings at Paris are always like this, but that evening was beautiful!

Yeah Actually seeing the lights at night is amazing. I was on a boat right below the tower when it started and its just awesome, except for the vendors mobbing you to buy tower replicas.

Didn't mean to belittle you or anyone else. I just thought most people knew the story from one of the more interesting pages of Alizée's life. Kind of like her performance on July 3rd of 2003 of J'ai pas vingt ans. It was performed in front of the Paris city hall. ( The French call city hall "Hotel de ville") The occassion was to celebrate the 100th running of the Tour de France. There were several members of some union in the entertainment industry in attendace, who were on strike and booed her performance afterwards.

thanks for the hard work on the video Scruffs, yeah the ifel at night is preaty unbelivable. You must have had one lucky day to see it live right infront of ur eyes.

Yeah Lerxst isaw that before ouch, she lander preaty hard on her ankle but is increadible got up and restarted to dance. This duet is one of my favorite duets that she was a part off.

It's from Alizée's performance at the Eiffel Tower where she sings J'ai pas vingt ans. The original video is a little over 7 minutes long. She sings during the first 4 minutes, then during the last 3, she is standing on stage with the emcee, sometimes talking to her. During these last 3 minutes, there are some incredibly beautiful clips of Alizée.

I often watch the singing part, but seldom watch the last 3 minutes because I grow weary of hearing the other woman jabbering, so I figured I'd take those clips from the last 3 minutes and splice them into the first 4. It's not a dramatic difference, but I like it and figured I go ahead in post it in case anyone else did.

Great job Scruffy! Thanks for sharing. Those are some of the most beautiful shots of Alizee ever and that is saying something. Alizee is beyond beautiful. Takes your breath away! She just gets more captivating over time. I thought it would have worn off by now. Such an angel!
