I should have said if the new album comes, given the dismal sales figures for UEDS. But I am hopeful

Lol
We're all almost like the same!
I also can't look to any girl without comparing them to Alizée and I changed my life to better since I knew her!
But I guess that effect of "madness" for her already passed in me...

Just want to weigh in here.

Alizée is an international star these days not exclusively or even primarily French. Psychédélices has sold well over 200,000 copies worldwide but only 50,000 of those were sold in France. If you only look at the French sales it looks like a flop. If you look at the worldwide sales, it's not bad at all, especially in today's market for CDs.

In order to evaluate how UEDS does, we are going to need to be able to examine sales in all media (downloads, special packages, and CDs) over the whole world. CD sales alone in France alone will necessarily give a distorted picture. I googled "sales of Un Enfant du Siecle" after seeing the above-quoted comment and found discussions where people were lamenting the low sales in the first week, but also raving about how awesome the album is and discussing how they could get it at a realistic price. (Because Amazon was charging something absurd. Which is true. Only for Alizée would I ever shell out that kind of money for a CD.)

UEDS is a very, very good album. I am confident that it will sell well. I'm not so confident it will sell well in France. I'm also not confident that the physical CD sales will be impressive. I look forward to seeing more complete figures, realizing that they won't likely be available for months. I'm especially interested in seeing U.S. and Canadian sales. I have a feeling they're going to outstrip anything our girl has done here before.

Let me ask you something, rictor. This is something I have caught myself doing before. Have you ever been doing something you shouldn't, and then had the thought of 'Would Alizée approve if she caught me doing this?' I have asked myself that question before. But then I remember she is happily married, has a child, has a very successful career, and will most likely never meet me in anything more than a fan capacity. But it does help me control my actions!

Ahh... the "WWAD?" concept. It has happened to me as well. How much further do we have to go before we are considered to be worshipping her, if we aren't considered doing that already? (rhetorical question) As much as "Alizée has driven me to the point of madness", she has done so much good for me and brought so much happiness and inspiration into my life. The 'Would Alizée approve if she caught me doing this?' thing is just one of those positives.

Sorry for getting my nose in, but I want to ask something: by something you shouldn't do you mean every little bad thing that you do like cursing, being rude, etc. ? I often tried that technique (to imagine that a certain person X is watching my every action) but it didn't work. I'm sure it works for some people but for me nothing works until I really put effort in it over a long time frame. Sometimes when you make a big mistake and you're not proud of what you did, it helps you a lot if you're really sorry. I sometimes say things which I don't mean just because I'm angry, but after that I reflect on what I did and I'm not able to find peace until I try to repair my mistake.

I never curse or raise my voice. But just little things that don't really matter.

I've thought about this a few weeks ago actually. I don't think it matters that she's married, has a child, etc. The point of my love for her is that it is unconditional. She doesn't have to ever know me. And I DO think, "Would Alizèe approve?" But it is out of respect for her and not due to some unrealistic expectation that she would ever meet me and praise me for it. I think that anyone who wants something in return for their love is selfish. It might be human nature to love someone and want them to love you back, but I find that when I truly love someone, I just want them to be happy. That alone makes ME happy.

To answer your question, I do ask myself if Alizèe would approve before I make certain decisions. (Not all decisions, obviously, but some). I've considered beating the living hell out of this one guy the other day, but I decided against it because that would not be the type of action Alizèe would approve of.

I generally try to be respectful towards everyone now because I know that's what Alizèe would do. Nothing wrong with that, and I think she makes a great role model. I love her.

No No No You must not feel so all alone. Everyone touched by Alizee's charm is in the same boat. I was struck by her only days ago. I did have another celebrity crush before. It was Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. Now I have another crush. I agree that this one is more about Alizee's inner beauty and the way she smiles and carries herself. American women learn from her how to make a man fall all over you!
