Seriously, the Prestige Edition is a dumb move. That night vision will bring up the cost of the package to insane levels, and it's going to be a sub-standard NV goggles.
Functional Night Vision Goggles start from around a $100. But, if you're looking for a decent one, it's around $500. If you badly want a NV goggles, just buy them separately.
This is like bundling a car with a candy bar.

$500 decent NVG is still quite pour you would still be looking at Generation 1 models then lol upgrade to the newest generation (4 I believe, could be wrong on that) you are looking at at least $6,000 and about $4000 for generation 3 (I believe which) you will still have depth perception unlike most of the early models and cheap knock off NVG's

They obviously aren't going to be real NGV's its going to be like one of those toys you get at ToysRus. Expecting real military NGV's which can cost about 10 grand a pop is just not smart.
My guesstimate is they will try to keep the price under $200 bucks; especially with this economy.

I think it is a very smart move, people are actually foolish enough to pay lots for this cheap made in china BS that they are going to be selling at quadruple the price of what it is worth just because it has Modern warfare 2 stamped on it!

This is one special edition I wont be getting. Honestly, who is stupid enough to buy this overpriced crap. I have a feeling there will be one of these under every Christmas tree in every suburb in the world. Regardless, it should still be an awesome game.

Of Course they are not going to sell military NVGs!! I don't think equipment like that is even up for sale for civilians
But some companies do make NVGs for enthusiasts. Like FRA said they are glorified toys, yet they sort of work. just don't expect Modern Warfare-esque green vision with visible laser-sight! These NVGs are usually based on IR (similar to a camera's night mode).

well U can buy military hardwear anywere you just have to know were to look inst that right Jungester . u can preaty much buy military equipment shy of misles but Im talkng about like weapons, body armor and small stuff like that. if u have the pockets for it, yeah civilians can buy it.
