Alizée,Angel of Ajaccio.. is on a distinguished road
Default Took a trip to Lilly Town and things got ...VERY, VERY Interesting!

Here is what has prompted me to finally join the AA forum.

I've purposefully avoided translating and researching the lyrics of Alizée's music because with her angelic voice and the beautiful music, it just seemed better to let my imagination take care of that aspect. However, yesterday I gave in and decided to research and analyze the lyrics to "Psychédélices". I gleaned quite a bit that appears to have gone unnoticed or at least without comments or remarks.

The most startling of which are the following lines from the song "Lilly Town":
"Ou l'on s'écrit des mots doux comme
Al et Simone"

The key here is "Al et Simone" or in English "Al and Simone". Well, upon a "Googlenets" search I believe that the "Al" is actually Al Pacino and the "Simone" is a reference to a 2002 (my, how timely these things occur) movie in which Pacino is the star. (Of course, Alizée will forever deny the meaning or intent.)

More interestingly here are a couple of quick reviews from some sites:
"Critically acclaimed director Viktor Taransky (Pacino) has just lost his last shot at a comeback when his temperamental flesh and blood actress (Winona Ryder in a cameo role) walked off his movie. Fired by his ex-wife and studio head (Catherine Keener), Taransky just lost any hope of recapturing his former life. But then computer genius Hank Aleno (Elias Koteas) enters the picture. As his dying wish, Hank bequeaths software to Taransky that will change his life forever. Just a few key strokes and an overnight sensation is born: S1MØNE. S1MØNE is beautiful, she’s talented, and she’s virtually perfect in every way…except one. She’s not real. Suddenly, Taransky has a taste of the success he always craved and the world’s most beloved star under his thumb. Or does he?"

Plot summary for
S1m0ne (2002) More at IMDbPro

The career of a disillusioned producer, who is desperate for a hit, is endangered when his star walks off the film set. Forced to think fast, the producer decides to digitally create an actress "Simone" to sub for the star--the first totally believable synthetic actress. The "actress" becomes an overnight sensation, with a major singing career as well, and everyone thinks she's a real person. However, as Simone's fame skyrockets, he cannot bear to admit his fraud to himself or the world. Written by Sujit R. Varma

I rented "S1m0ne" yesterday and watched it. I think our Angel is letting her musical clues do the talking!!

And it's blowing me away!

Welcome,

Don't you just hate how she gets under your skin?

Worried?

You should be because with most of her fans it gets worse.

Or maybe it’s a reference to Albert Camus and Simone de Beauvoir.

I also believe that "Simone" was a reference to Simone de Beauvoir... but it didn't think to Albert Camus right away. For those of you that don't know, Camus and de Beauvoir are both French existential writers, extremely influential in modern philosophy. But! my initial reaction to "Al" was actually Allen Ginsberg, and American beatnik poet who quoted the phrase "flower power" if I'm not mistaken.

That actually makes a lot of sense.
