I came across this web site some time ago:

...and I was wondering what the song entitled was that was sung by alizee on this video clip. Found bottom row farthest right. I don't recognize it on any of her albums that I'am familiar with; am assuming that it may be a cover of another artist's work, but I do like her rendition and was wondering if there was a CD that has it, somewhere.

Also was wondering who the other artists/singers were if someone more familiar with the French music scene could inform me of. It would help in my creating an international CD library sometime perhaps.

its actually called 'rockollection' .. it is kind of hard to explain, prolly easier for you to just read the original thread. basically it is a tribute to other music artists.

Well it was for Les Enfoirés, so it wasn't one of her songs, but a popular French song. Les Enfoirés is a show that has French singers singing well known songs to help raise money for des Restos du Cœur (a charity, aFrenchie explained it all a while back). If you want a copy of her singing it you can find it on the 2001 Les Enfoirés compilation, that song was called Rockollection. Here is the official page for Les Enfoirés, the 2001 compilation also has other songs including Alizée singing on: http://www.enfoires.fr/index2.html (Go to discographie and then to the 2001 CD, 3rd from right top row ) If you click on the Medley:Rockollection (#20) it will show you all the names of the singers in the video. The video you linked only has the Rockollection and Tous les cris, les S.O.S parts in it though, like aFrenchie said the choruses (non Alizée parts) have been removed. Here is what the CD looks like, but there is also a DVD.(I don't have either )


Guess I took too long trying to find a picture of the CD...
PS: Anybody still have a copy of the video aFrenchie posted (preferably with all the non Alizée parts as I do like a number of the singers in it), it would be nicer than only having the FLV. Thanks.

Just make sure you can watch PAL DVD's (like Alizée's) but it is Region 2 which is only for Europe (unlike Alizée's which is region free). So make sure you have a region free DVD player that can convert the PAL because your TV only supports NTSC (but PAL DVDs will play on your computer, if you are allowed to use Region 2 DVDs). Just thought I would toss that out in case you couldn't read all the description because it was in French.

I'll just have to shop around for a PAL/NTSC HD DVD player. All I have now is a mere VHS/TV & that's mighty disappointing when it comes to tracking and it just doesn't work!!!

Too bad I don't own a movie theatre wherein I could watch 'Alizee en concert' on the wide screen as good as a HD DVD. Man, that would be awesome.

She also sang on the 2002 Tous dans le même bateau Enfoires compilation in case you wanted to order both.

And Amazon.com and .ca do have Les Enfoirés CDs and DVDs so I would recommend checking there as well (some can be expensive though).

Not only was she in the 2002 show, she did considerably more in 2002 than 2001.
