"At least 10 people died when two helicopters crashed in a remote area in northwest Argentina during the filming of a survivalist TV show. French Olympic champions were among the cast that perished in the accident, Paris has confirmed.

The helicopters exploded while flying near Villa Castelli in La Rioja province after a possible collision, according to Argentinian Secretary of Security Cesar Angulo. Local officials identified the victims as eight French citizens and two Argentinian pilots.

French President Francois Hollande’s office confirmed in a statement Tuesday that among those killed were Olympic gold medalist swimmer Camille Muffat, 25, Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine, 28, and sailor Florence Arthaud, 57.




Camille Muffat was an Olympic swimmer and 3 time medalist; Alexis Vastine, a boxer who also won an Olympic medal in Bejing. Florence Arthaud was a champion yachtswoman and I believe the other victims were members of the tv crew and the pilots.

So it must be a very sad day for all of France!

It happened to be Alain Bernard, an olympic swimmer who won4 medals in the Olympics, including 2 gold, took part in the 2011 Les Enfoires show. In this video which is one of the reasons why I love the Les Enfoires show so much, he took part in the song "Un jour de plus au paradis (Phil Collins song - Just another day in paradise)'. So I'm sure Alizée must have met him.

Like I said in the other thread, Alain Bernard is still alive ; but maybe I misunderstood your post.

No you are right. The initial report of the crash listed his name, I'm quite sure as a victim, but he wasn't on either of the helicopters that crashed.

Alizée has also met another person who was there in Argentina filming for the TF1 show "Dropped".
One of the finalists of "Danse avec les stars" season 2.
Alizée danced with him during the first "Danse avec les stars" tour. Philippe Candeloro. He survived.

Well I watched the show tonight and as I stated earlier, I will buy the dvd.

It was a very good show. There was one skit they did which was made to look like outside in the winter and they had a woman who they made to look like she was skating, but I'm sure she was roller blading and I thought of Alizée last year skating at the Rockefeller center and thought she would have been perfect for that roll.




There were so many other scenes where I had thought she would have looked beautiful in.

I hope and hope and hope she participates in next years show.
