Is Alizée Lipsyncing most of her performances?

That’s just the way the majority of televised musical performances in France (and most of Europe too) are done. Most pop singers do this, not just Alizée, although there are a handful of TV performances where she sings live:

In the past she lip-synched most of her performances and I don't have a problem with that. To do the JEAM dance *and* sound good is simply not possible live, she'd be hout of breath in no time. Also, while she has a great voice she is not the perfect live singer...

But I must say that indeed she sounds so incredible on her studio CDs. I can't believe my years everytime I tune in, go figure...

She sings great live and it's nothing wrong with that she is lipsyncing in a few preformances yes. But after all it's as people says a very common thing to do.

As long as "a few" above means "almost all" then I think we're all in agreement here.

Btw I was listening to ML, ACC and so forth and it struck me that her voice is quite heavily chorused in many places in the first two albums. Some people were complaining about 50/60's heavy voice processing, but I think it's important to remember that the first two albums had lots of effects too.

I think almost all singers have those additional effects you are talking about, like the chorus voice etc.This, probably, is intented by the composer to create a better mood for the song, as he sees it. It's great!
