Shooting in NYC is very expensive. I doubt she would have the budget to swing it.

If it is GC, they might just sub in a few clips of NY to help tell the story.

Well, she likes to visit New York anyway. It would be a lot cheaper (simply as a business expense) to combine one of her visits with some video shooting. The whole thing wouldn't need to be filmed there, just a few sequences of Grand Central Station.
