The French Singer recognizes that she's in a struggle to get the people to forget her sensual image; she will record a theme in Spanish authored by Adanowsky

Paris.- The encounter (meeting) of the French singer Alizée with Paloma and Gerardo, two of her most fervent fans, who traveled direct from Mexico to get acquainted with her, was not made to wait. From her studios in Paris,the young singer received(welcomed) with open arms both Mexicans and
shared with them her music and some of her secrets. EL UNIVERSAL was present and spoke with the artist.

Being a French singer, why do you believe that Mexicans receive(accept or welcome) so well your songs? You are one of the artists most marketable in the country.

In the first place, perhaps because the first song that they got to know as such, they did not understand what was said(or meant) by the letter(words) in French; it was easy to recall(remember). The image I had before, also they liked very much.

Has it been difficult to change your image from "Lolita" that everyone recognized(knew) during various years to exhibit(display, show) a new phase more mature?

Clearly, after becoming a mother my image has changed, evolved, and I myself also have grown, matured, desire(want) other types of things. (It's) Clear that I do not deny that it is very difficult, because that image marked(set the frame of reference for) many people.

How many times have you visited Mexico?

Four or five times.

(Did) the image that you had of Mexico change when you visited for the first time?

No, for nothing(not at all). I knew that the people were very cool, uncomplicated, kind(nice) and tranquil(calm).

Do you know singers or artists that are Mexican?

In France we don't know much of the music (from) Mexico, but I do remember(recall) the actress Salma Hayek.

(Are you) Thinking to visit shortly other countries in Latin America?

Yes, clearly yes. Amongst my plans are to present myself (establish a presence) in Argentina and in Chile.

With which artist, french or international, would you like to sing?

(There) exist many, many artists with which I would like to share the stage. In first place would be Madonna **let's just hope that there's NO tonsil hockey! That's when Brittany started to spiral down the drain.** and if it's a man, with Justin Timberlake.

When you made the "remake" of the song "Isla Bonita", by Madonna, why did you select that song in particular?

I am a fan of Madonna since I was four years old and it's my favorite song. I have recorded that song in France, for a program of television, and it was that way that Mexicans got acquainted with me, exchanging that video across on You-tube.

Have you thought about singing in Spanish?

Yes, made by the singer Adanowsky ( mother from Mexico, and son of filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky) (he) has finished composing(for me) a song in Spanish that will soon go out to the marketplace.

(It) should be difficult to encounter(attain) an equilibrium amongst the music, the travel, your small(very young) daughter and your husband. (Do you expect to) Obtain (and) do it all?

I have people around me that help alot and they understand me. Everything is a question of (having) a good organization.
