Not me

I live in West Virginia, not Virginia. A lot of people don't know that West Virginia is a state .. they think it is Western Virginia.

We even have indoor bathrooms now

I know West Virginia is a state, but I tell ya, I sometimes doubt the existence of Nebraska. It wasn't until highschool that I figured out it was actually a state, not just a region, and to this day I couldn't locate it on a map other than "midwest, somewhere with lots of corn." I might be able to locate it by filling in all the states around it, and noticing I had a hole.

So sue me! I'm on the west coast, my family is on the east coast, and the only part of the midwest I've visited is Kentucky and Ohio, years ago :-P

Kentucky midwest? How dare you, Sir I always debate w/ people as to if Ohio is really midwest. It's more west-east if you ask me. But then again, the MidWest isn't really midwest nowadays either, so voila!

Is anyone here from Ohio? I've only been through the Cincinnati area to visit fam, so I don't know much about the rest of the state. Does Ohio have prairie, farmland areas like Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas, or are they just trying to blend in w/ Indiana and call themselves a midwest state? (Or, do "Ohioans" even consider themselves midwest?)

I'm not from Ohio, but I've had people tell me I sound like I am. I was raised by yankees in the south, so I guess I came out sounding like I come from somewhere in between.

That's completely irrelevant to the present discussion, but I thought I'd mention it anyway because ... it's very late.
