Latest word of Alizee's CD

My bandmate just came back from 3 weeks in Europe, yesterday. He was in Paris and specifically asked in record stores there for Alizée's CD's. He was told that her CD would be out in October by the sales staff there.

At first, they didn't know who he was talking about, then they remembered her and asked him " Why do you like her? She is just a little girl?" I take the salesperson's statement not as a slight to Alizée, because they deal in so much music by so many artists and the last time she was in the public eye, she was younger. The sales staff are usually only up on what is currently selling in their stores and do not follow Alizée as we do.

The CD was not specified as to whether or not it was the single or the album. This is all the info I received and nothing more.

But why would they have to remember? If they have some records that they're getting the CD in October, wouldn't it be on their fancy little computer system?

no france just as different rules on which there ssociety is based he probably was never a fan because he always listened to other music and never to hers.

come on one lame high school kid clerk doesnt speak for France, the store, teens or any other group. She spoke for her own mindset and thats it. Little girl? By now shes what 22? Shows how much this clerk knows.

Without a release in some three years and shes in top 10 searches along with current events like eva mendes or the chick from the view who argued with Rosie odonnel. That is more than just a fad.

That is amazing. Three years with nothing and shes still in top ten!!! Amazing. Im not fanatical about her. I think shes pretty and has good music but I have to say I am astounded on this kind of staying power.

Omg shes above Lindsay Lohan AND Paris Hilton!!!! Whether you like hilton or not shes been on every news broadcast and newspaper lately and was recently arrested so for Alizee to have done nothing and still beat them is way crazy amazing.

I mean Alizee makes breakfast feeds her kid and buys some socks and shes in top ten. Hilton gets arrested put in jail released and back in jail this year and Alizee is still searched more often. amazing

In general, a singer's native audience fades much more quickly than the singer's international audience. There are several reasons for this.

There are still niche French fans of Alizée, as there are niche fans around the world. We form a collective "steady state" fan base. But for most folks in France, Alizée is simply "that singer" from "several years ago".

I dont agree. She was in top 100 of google for almost a year. Shes in top ten searches as stated above. Some people can act snooty (not you but the people you speak of) like they know all the good music and look down their nose at Alizee but secretly they are searching her and watching her - the numbers prove it.
