I think its because of the predominance of mexican TV.. and how much of it features dance and sort of spectacle that the shows that Alizée did in france sort of had. Also I think Alizée's sort of sexiness was understated but nonetheless sexy.. and that is something big in Mexico.. although much more distasteful. I think sexiness and dance and performance has always been big in mexico and Alizee is a form of it. Plus Alizee has a sort of mediterranean look that sort of plays off that look that mexicans like: Dark latin but without that indigenous "aztec" look.. a sort of European latin look.
