Or vinyl, it's been making a comeback, right? Anybody else here collect LP's besides me? I've got about 1000, some guys I know have 2-4000 or more. Vinyl, anyone?

Heyyyy, should they maybe do a 12" version of the new record coming out?

Oh yeah, re: Beatles. Lotsa rights issues to work out before anything could ever be online there-- mostly because there are so many owners of the Beatles catalog. Including the Michael Jackson estate. It may take several decades, I think.
I have a couple turntables and maybe 200 or so LP's, but i'm much more of a CD person. Vinyl can sound fantastic, but you have to have top quality gear.

As far as the rights to the Beatles catalogue, Michael Jackson did own a chunk of the rights to the songs but Paul McCartney got them back after MJ died.

Oh....and my sets have arrived. I'll take a picture for you when i get home. Just becuase.

Downloads have no soul!
No i'm joking.

I support the continuous purchase of CD's, Vinyls, whatever the hell floats your boat.
It's "the package" brought to you by the artist.
The CD box is part of it, the booklet, the disc, it's the whole shebang.

I got mine from Amoeba Music

I had to wait in a line before they let us in to purchase. The mono sets where given away by ticket to reserve and they sold out quick. The stereo sets flew off the shelves even though they had more of those.

The mono sets are limited to somewhere around 15,000 copies total. I'm listening to the mono "Revolver" as I type this

Both sets are top-notch. I love all these albums, in stereo and in mono. Each is a unique listening experience.

Nice pics! I had a stereo box sent to my parents (mom was a huge Beatles fan growing up), so won't get my hands on it until the next time I visit home.
