Default Does the fact she is foreign have anything to do with it?

I am new, skimmed through most of the existing threads, forgive me if this is not a new topic.

I have read a lot of posts desrbing how attracted to Alizée many of us are (yes me too). We love her look, her dancing skills, her singing, her smile, her eyes, whatever, we love all of it. Do any of you think that her Frenchness (yes, I make up words from time to time) has anything to do with it. If she were an American, would we feel the same way. I really am not sure.

I think that it has something to do with it for me; the "frenchness" adds another layer of interest and freshness... makes her fasciniating in yet one more way. But at the same time, I don't think that it is a huge influence; Alizée is Alizée, simple as that.

Honestly, if she were American I'd think to myself "hey, she's hott" and then forget about her about three days later. The fact that she is indeed foreign got me and kept me hooked then led me to learn more. For the longest time, like any other stupid American, I thought the only hott chicks lived in the U.S.

For me, it's just like CFH said, 'Alizée is Alizée. I find the "Corsicanness" adds another layer of interest for me.

It does for sure. I think it's quite natural to find exotic "things" attractive in general. Maybe it's the contrast of cultures, customs and what not. But the bottom line being, if she weren't French, she wouldn't be Lili would she? I also think the "Corseness" has a lot to do with it.

You may be right. I lived in Korea for 7 years and found many woman very attractive (married one of them, didn't work out), never quite like how I find Alizée though.

I think her Frenchness has a lot to do with it. At least in the beginning, but I think it is all of the details that keep you interested after a while.

Well, it effects her singing of course. French tends to sing in French or at least with French accent. So, I guess it affected little bit when listening to her.

But even if she were Russian, I'd have falling in love in her voice.

And the questions if she'd be American... you sure do have sense of humor !
