Or he can always try out some good 'ole Ella Elle L'a on him But I would tend to think that 90% of people would get attracted easier if they started with Gourman/MCE...

Visuals played a massive role for Gourmandises/MCE. So without them, it could be different depending on the person.

If we are introducing Alizée songs to a newbie, we kinda select one best song from each album. In that manner we can promote all her albums and we can represent a variety of songs, as all her albums have different musics. But to find a single song from all the best one from a single album is a very huge task. One can think of representing all(best) singles from the album too. So here's ma list:
1. Gourmandises : Slow : Lui ou toi Up-Beat : Moi Lolita 2. Mes Courants Electriques : Slow : Coeur Déja Pris Up-Beat : J`ai Pas Vingt Ans 3. Psychedelices : Slow : Psychédélices Up-Beat : Decollagé 4. Une Enfant Du Siecle : Slow : Factory Girl Up-Beat : Les Collines Sorry to go over the limit, but one should provide the song a/c to mind of the listener. If he likes slow, sad songs then there is no use providing all upbeat n hardcore songs and vice versa. All these songs are the base of Alizée great albums thus these should be introduced to a newbie at first.

I would definitely pick her original stuff from Psyche and UEdS.. like Lilly Town, Par Les Paupieres, Eden, Eden.. the songs that you simply cannot hate.

Yeah, L'email and PLP I think are good because they won't likely come across as throwaway pop as much as some others.

Don't be too quick to judge. Some people do enjoy the "throwaway pop" type of music. (Like me! )

Like Aayush said...you need to throw in some "throwaway pop" and some slow and meaningful songs into it...that is the best combination.

Don't get me wrong, I don't *think* they are throwaway pop, but the instrumentation alone is what turns *me* off to most pop music. Getting into Alizee changed my opinion on pop in general, but all the charms will not transfer to these people just by some audio samples, so make them count if you want them to look deeper
