Hi Autumn. Welcome.
English has by far the most words of any language. This is both its strength and its weakness. As many of the words come from different sources (different countries and languages) it becomes a hodge-podge of different forms of original expression. English can be used to convey ideas on literally any subject, however, the two people communicating must have a sense of the same definition of the words in order for meaningful communication to actually occur.

Personally, I don't like reporters or cameras in my face, so I sympathize with the person being interviewed. I would have ignored the reporter or moved elsewhere. The woman said she didn't want to participate in the interview, but the reporter insisted on asking condescending questions to someone who obviously doesn't share her views. As such, the woman with the coffee had no obligation to show any more decency than she was being shown.

One thing I could not ignore is the fact that critical thinking seems to be a thing of the past. Last edited by CleverCowboy; 11-19-2018 at 11:16 AM.. |

The russian language also every day acquires more and more foreign words. Because of this the original purpose begins to be forgotten. Some skeptics predict that soon the russian language will become second english language. I am disappointed to see how my peers abandon difficult words and using simple words to convey superficial meaning. Any russian person will tell you that when him looking at english words they will seem simple to him, and people who speak it seem be very lazy. This happens because russian people use too many forms for words, each form of which due to emotional coloring becomes an independent word. |

Don't know if you guys already know of this, but there's a Russian tribute channel to Alizee. The girl (Violetta) looks very much like her and does covers of Lili songs.

Violetta is also writing her own songs and is looking for a producer. She is currently doing all the work herself: writing lyrics, composing music, figuring out an idea for a video, choosing costumes, etc. If you know any producer, please feel free to contact her through her youtube page (info is available in the "about" section).
This is her first video clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpSZ-STSBeA She likes writing poetry and music and is doing it absolutely wonderful. She also writes a bit in English and Spanish, although mostly in Russian. She has a big library of her own music tracks (synth-pop, pop, techno, club, trance, vaporwave), feel free to get in touch with her for details. That is our chance, guys. She is basically a new Alizée. If we would be able to find a producer for her, the world will hugely benefit from a new talented star. You can also support her on patreon. Feel free to contact her through social media. |

Why can't we use facial recognition software??? Feed pictures of Alizee into facial recognition software, and have the program scan the internet for look-alikes. After having the facial recognition software scan the internet for, let's say, 6 months, we take the closest matches and we contact and audition them. What do you think? |
