I honestly didn't like the fact that its going back to WW2 because I'm getting tired of WW2 games, but I think this one will be cool since it will take place in the Pacific and won't be shooting Nazi's for a change since there's very little WW2 games that actually take place in the Pacific.

Yea come on..Modern Warfare will still kick the new COD's butt...no one wants to go back to WW2 again. theres been enough of those games out now. People were waiting for a urban war game to come out that it did, and COD4 was a major hit, it beat out Halo 3! and that has been on Xboxs best selling games for a few years now....

Yeah I'm kindve pissed they are going back to WWII also, I would imagine everyone is. Modern warfare was such a big hit for the franchise, its almost stupid to take a step back but it is no surprise to me since this one is being made by activation, not Infinity Ward which made COD4. Actovision made 3, and Infinity Ward made all the other COD's. What upsets me the most is the game is coming out for PS2 and the DS, which means this is going to be a huge multi platform game. That means less focus on creating it for the next gen consoles like Wii, PS3 and the 360 which in the long run means a much crappier game, graphics wise. It is very obvious that they are going to try and make this game as cheap as possible and try and market the sh*t out of it making it available to everyone. Also if you see this game being rated Teen and not Mature, it will further prove my point. Hopefully the call of duty 4 physics engine will do this game some good. The only thing I like as of now is the vehicles are back, I miss my M1-Sherman tank! We shall see how this game looks when the trailer comes out.
Oh and Medal Of Honer usually does the Pacific theater, and Call Of Duty did the European theater.

Just remembered it's in the pacific theater, but hopefully the Germans sent the Japanese some weapons.

Its supposed to be European theater also. Unlike the last WWII COD (call of duty 3) which focused primarily on the liberation of France after D-Day; COD 5 as its become to be known as is supposed to have both theaters of WWII. Supposedly its going to have the Germans final stand off in Berlin and some battles leading up to that. So its probably going to be the end chapters of the war in Europe leading up to the German surrender.
What I am please to see the most is more interactive and destructible environments edit: the myspace main page is now COD World At War. Like I said before, they are really trying to market the sh*t out of this game! See it for yourself here http://www.myspace.com/
