ADO Den Haag

Anyone follow the Dutch/Greek soccer team ADO Den Haag? I am looking for a kid that went to school with me here in NY, we were best friends and now he plays or played for ADO Den Haag. Just wanted to know if anyone followed the team or the sport itself and knew about them. I got little information about my friend but I am not losing hope.

The olympics are all Under 23 national teams, so if he's an American citizen he'd play for our team if he were good enough. Past that I don't know anything about the team, have you tried looking up a website?

All I can say is it's a dutch club and they will not be at the Olympic Games as only U-23 national teams play there. No one from Ado Den Haag is on the U-23 Dutch national team.

EDIT: Ah yes, I suppose he would play for the US. Wasn't thinking

. The roster of ADO Den Haag I'm looking at now has no Americans on it.

What I am really looking for is to contact a certain member by the name of Michael Vakalopoulos. He used to be my best friend and now he lives in Holland and plays for that team. So I there is anyway I can get in contact with him I will do my best.

For him it wouldn't be a problem lol. I always knew he would end up in the Olympics or on a pro team.

Hey Luc what do you think of The Netherlands beating my team the other day. I thought it was a good game...fierce and well played. But Italia will do better I can see it.

Your from the Netherlands you probably have heard of ADO Den Haag right?

To play for an Olympic National Team you have to either A) Be born in the country B) Gain citizenship of that country or C) ::Not sure on this one:: Be able to trace some ancestry back to that country.

I think that some countries bypass the citizenship time in order for the athlete to be able to compete asap.

8-8-08 is opening day btw... NBC

Hey Youpidou1! I was very much surprised by this result. I hadn't seen the Dutch team playing so well since a long time and Italy was not playing as well as they usually do. I'm sure Italy can do much better and of course they still have plenty of chance to reach the next round.
Sure I've heard of ADO Den Haag. Unfortunatly ADO has a history of hooliganism. I don't know how they're doing in the national competition at the moment. I'm not a big soccer fan, I only watch the World Cup and European Championships.
