I think she is using it as a more descriptive saying for her pets being lazy.

"My dog looks like a pot of glue!"

I guess its french slang.

It's fairly common to say something like "the cat is stuck to my lap" or "glued to my lap". My cat is like that. I'll try to move her off my lap and she'll try to hang on, even if I start to stand up. So I take her comment as the cat is like a pot of glue stuck to her. I can't blame the cat.
