So why did she go to Korea? It looks like she didn't stop there on her way. I know she went to Japan for an advert shoot.

MCE was released in Korea in August. She did a mini-concert there (“Moi…Lolita” “I’m fed up” “J’ai pas vingt ans” and “A contre-courant”) to promote it. We have a video of Moi Lolita, plus an interview:

The advert was shot in France (in Paris?), I think.

The Japan trip was just for promotion.

Aditya, Alizee probably went to Korea to perform because Seoul, Korea is the 2nd largest city in the world...22 million people... You could fit 2 New York cities in there...lots of potential for Lili fans.

And the picture with Lili and the Teddys (or is that plushies?) is a cute one. Just look at the yellow one sitting next to her. It looks extremely happy.

You are mixing some lists. You are comparing Seoul's urban area to New York City.

Seoul (3rd largest urban area) has 22 million people it's Urban Arae. New york has 27 million (2nd largest) and the largest, Tokyo, has 31 million people in it's urban area.

When talking about solely about the cities area, excluding their urban areas, Seoul has 10 million (8th place in list). New York has 8 million (15th place in list). Shanghai, the leader of all cities, has 15 million people.

So, New York and Seoul are same size, on both scales.




But anyways... No, it was not the reason why Alizée went there. The reason was, like Snatcher said ages ago, that MCE was released there. And it gained huge population in Korea. It reached number one place in charts, and it's singles were in top 10 several weeks, reaching occasionally number 1 places too. She was hugely popular in Korea. So promoting here there was obviously very profitable idea.

As well as promoting her in Taiwan, where she had very good success, too.
