I think there's a difference though. I mean, LG expressed her admiration of Madonna and claimed Madonna to be her inspiration. So, for Madonna to dissed her, it's like dissing your own fan, IMO.
I don't like LG that much either. I think a couple of her songs were okay, but that's pretty much it. I'm sure LG is not a fan of Alizee so, I don't see any problem with Alizee expressing her opinion about LG.

Agree with her 100%. Lady Gaga is essentially Madonna with a cup of Kylie Minogue, a pinch of Marilyn Manson, and a whole bunch of random, strange imagery to make the whole package seem "edgy" and original. She's a talented singer, she's a good entertainer, and she's written some great songs, but she is nowhere near the phenomenon people made her out to be in 2010.

If I'm not mistaken that's the closest to "talking smack" about anyone that Alizee has ever gotten in an interview! Hahaha.

Normally I would agree that it is wrong for a celebrity to diss their own fan, however LG is more of a celebrity that emulates her idol rather than being original. And I think that irritates Madonna. It is one thing to be inspired by your idol to do great things in make your presence in the industry but it is another to emulate them. As for Alizée, the way I see it, If I were to put myself in her shoes I could say that I would be pissed off too if I saw another celebrity trying to emulate Alizée... heck.. I was upset when I saw Tabata Jalil emulate "J'en Ai Marre!" and it was all fair and innocent... It must be a fan thing to get angry!... ...

That is funny!... I if I were to try and guess the molecular makeup of Lady Gaga I would say that she is 1 part Madonna with a cup of Marilyn Manson, and a pinch of TLC... because she rips from TLC too...
