Mastercard said that i should not have had to include my card details again when returning the ticket and should have contacted them directly for a refund. They also said that Ticketnet should not have asked for the card details again.
Hyndsight is a wonderful thing!
I thought them wanting the CC info again was a bit bizarre...

Sorry Junkmale. Did you also receive the refund yet? Because the address is legit, so most likely your card number either got picked up some other way, or your letter was intercepted in the mail and never reached it's destination. Which is a danger, and why they shouldn't have asked for that info. But it's not a deliberate scam.

Sorry, dude. I did post a warning way back when, but it got lost in the shuffle of all the drama on the actual day. On the bright side, at least you won't be held liable for it.

No refund as yet.
It looks like my letter may have been intercepted on the way to France?
I have telephoned Ticketnet but couldn't get anyone that spoke English and my French really isn't good enough to hold a full conversation.
It happens, it's one of those things but it's a nuisance now as i have a lot of Direct Debits and stuff on my credit card and now i'll have to change them all.
Mastercard will have iisued a new card and will probably refund the ticket price so all's well that ends well.
And there is a very happy chap in Chile who has very nice new Hi-Fi!

yeah, I'm sure that's right, of course, but also, I do not know
At least according to Google Translate I highly recommend it. Best online translator I've found so far.
