I will clarify my statement. I thought it would be helpful to clarify that the videos seemed to be fan edits rather than performances by skaters with Alizée as the actual background music.

Given the lack of career news about her and the recent Olympics events that took place, to the casual observer (and more importantly possibly new fans lurking on the forum) it might seem like this really took place. Getting one's hopes up over nothing is an all too common occurrence for the fans who have been here long enough. Scruffy, you and I being two of the oldest members of the forum have been unfortunate to see that happen, even as far back as the letter we sent to her over a decade ago in 2009. Nothing substantial came out of it.

It wasn't a post meant to offend.

The further east you go on the planet, the more it seems that the audience thinks it is Alizée's own song...

However, some may intentionally name the song for Alizée,

I think Madonna original version is surely better, at least at musical side.I think Madonna has even warmer shades of voice.I'm fan of both.Younger fans heard firstly Alizée version, so they think Madonna's one is an alternative version

Today (depending on your time zone), the 6th of March 2022, is the 20th anniversary of Alizee's live performance of Moi Lolita at the World Music Awards in Monaco.

It remains the most viewed video of Alizee and one that I'm sure introduced many new fans to her music.
