I'm running xubuntu 7.04 at the moment, which is basically ubuntu with different wm. Hey dano, have you got any idea how to remove the graphical startup progress-indicator thingy?

I am using Windows XP professional and I am happy with it. If I get a good report of vista I would switch to it. I don't like Mac as barely any games run on it.

Thumbs up

I'm too using Windows XP professional and i'm satisfied with it. It supports lots of games and other applications since this applications are not supported in other operating systems like linux and other, so I prefer to go for windows family.

As Umeesh said that it gives lot more supports form Microsoft and I too looking for vista.

Windows 2k for me... I love it, and I don't need anything more for now. The only thing that bugs me about Win 2k is that I need an emulator to run most DOS programs.
Anyways, I suspect that when I get a new computer it will be a Vista machine because I don't like Macs, and probably never will (No offense). But then again, I really don't like Windows XP/Vista either, sooo... Maybe I'll try Linux. I'm a gamer however, so that might not work out either.
Oh, well. We see.

Windows 2k for me too. I have a CAD program that I use that won't run in XP and I don't want to spend the thousands of dollars it takes to get the upgrade, nor do I want to loose the use of the program. I run XP on my other computer.

For a moment, I thought this was a very complex operating system...

For me w2k is still the best windows. Most stable and fast enough. I actually had the same install of 2k in my comp for over 1200 days. It was getting bit slow, but still in one piece
