I know exactly how you feel bro. Just stick it out and you'll be fine. I decided to go back and pursue a graduate degree and had to refresh my memory in partial differential equations. Just make sure you have the your calculus classes down solid because it's going to be the foundation of future engineering classes.

Thanks bro. I thought chemistry was tough at first too, but now I'm finishing up a Masters of Science in chemical engineering. Believe me, I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I have the passion to see things through. When people see me, the last thing they would think is engineer. If you do the same, I know there's no doubt that you'll succeed too.

Chemistry is a really difficult subject to understand at first. Just remember it's just a different way of thinking. It's like trying to learn a new language. Work on the basics first. Don't try to understand everything at once, you'll confuse yourself even more. You'll learn more as you progress. I recommend just keep doing the homework and referencing the book. You'll have that moment where everything clicks.

Hope you don't mind if I hijack this thread for a while, FRA.

I know we have some engineers here (or future engineers) on the forum: could anybody help me with physics (we're doing knot/pulley systems)?

All the angles are known, I just didn't put them in the drawing. If anyone could tell me what the other forces in the drawing are, it would be a huge help .

Ummm, I guess break it into a free-body diagram and figure out what the unknown tensions are associated with T1 and go from there? (You're probably going to end up using some Trig on it.)

Well Mavs, if you're going to pursue a career in something that requires it, then I suggest you go for it.

Me however, if I saw that, i'd write down "The Answer is in the Teacher's Answerbook"
