Like FRA stated, the entire Beatles catalogue is being re-released & remastered on 9/9/09. A sonic upgrade on these albums is long overdue, and word on the street is these new CD versions sound absolutely amazing.

The Beatles Stereo Box Set


The Beatles Mono Box Set




Scheduled to arrive on the 9th from Amazon. Can't freaking wait

I bought both the stereo and mono sets. The remastering is excellent, especially in this day and age where remastered usually just means louder. The old CD versions were lacking in bass and low end. These new remasters sound crisp and clean, both stereo and mono versions. Nice packaging too. Basically, these are the definitive Beatles discs.

one more question for you puff, its another one of my silly ones . what's the difference between mono and stereo when it comes to these discs or any?
