I still can't get over how "Decatur" is pronounced....

It just occurred to me that I've heard the name Decatur spoken before; but when I read it in this thread I had no idea how to pronounce it. I'm with Jally, those letters do not match those sounds.

I've always thought it was Deh-cay-tehr. Deh-cay-tuhr. Deh-cay-whatever. Where does Duh and Dih come from?
