Alan Shepard because he was the first American to go.
Jon Glenn and Neil Armstrong.
Really, I have a lot of respect for all the astronauts and all the NASA personnel that gave us something truly spectacular. As Neil Tyson would point out, that was the time when America still dreamed, and then made those dreams a reality.

Yea it is very sad indeed; she was the first American woman in space and a true veteran to the Space Shuttle program. She will be dearly missed

Yeah! I've got a relative that works at JPL (not with this mission) and they really need for this mission to work out.
