Well it's a bit easier to find new bands in the same genre, but to find a new band in a completely different genre is quite a jump. I listen to the radio to "widen my spectrum", but not neccesary THE radio; There are many good radiostations with djs that actually like music and don't just play what they are paid to play. Of course most of them are bound to the internet however, but internet is becoming more and more mobile by the day. Thinking of getting an iPhone myself in the near future

Terroja forum and Ibanez Forum is where i've recently found myself hanging around, and they have some of the most intelligent and open-minded people in the world. Why, just being there i've increased my music list by at least 100 artists and even more songs, and i've done the same to others as well.
Pandora radio is also pretty cool, I search for Al Di Meola and i'll get his tunes as well as others of a similar sound.

Not a big thrasher, but this has got to be one of the better songs by them. Considering I never really supported them anyway.

I discover new music by looking at the top rated albums on rateyourmusic. I'll take a listen on youtube and buy it if it sounds good.

I've spent over $40,000 on CDs so far.
