She has a basic apartment. Nothing fancy. If she is so rich, why did she get such a small place?
I think the clothes are part of her marketing of herself, and some of the purchases are calculated. She has to "fit in." I doubt that she could maintain this level of spending for more than 10 years. Don't forget, in the USA a typical first contract gives the singer just 6% of the gross.

if Lili got 6% , that would be 600k euro in 2001 alone. Not sure how much would that be after taxes. That's before all the tours and second album. And small basic apartment ? Anyone smart would do this. Why would she need a huge mansion just for her, her daughter and pets ?

women prefer designer shoes, bags, jewelry etc. She bought a rolex for 15000$ a few months ago, she has several Birkin bags (from wikipedia: they are worth 9.000$-150.000$) She and Jeremy bought a property for 1 million, so I think we don't have to be worry about her financial situation.

The answer to this whole thread is
- - - - - - (no one should be surprised if this gif ended up in nearly every single post from me ) It's not called " alizées financial situation " after all I agree with what karin said in the second page , we have no idea about this And we should critic her for her musical career not her life She is rich and have no financial problems annily got 99 problems but money ain't one case closed |

As Rev said she has a nice apartment but not what I would say is in an exclusive Ajaccio neighborhood. I've been thinking of visiting Corsica in the future so I was checking out my options between a hotel or a furnished apartment by the week. I found that I can rent a furnished Apartment by the week in Alizee's building cheaper than any hotel in Ajaccio.
In fact if you plan on visiting Corsica for more than a few days look into a furnished place before looking into a hotel if you're planning on staying for a week or more.

^ That was when she was living with Jeremy on the Golf Course. I'd say more like ten months or more a year since moving back to Corsica.

After all, it is hard to be rich in France with their steep tax rates and all. Just recently French actor, Gerard Depardieu, went public about moving away from his home country, France. After paying more than $190 million in taxes over a period of 4 years, Gerard is finally fed up with the 75% income tax on the wealth. He stated he was going to move to Belgium until recently Vladimir Putin offered Gerard Russian citizenship where there is only a 13% flat income tax. Gerard relinquished his French citizenship and became a Russian Citizen in early January. Now a pissed off France is coming after Gerard for criminal allegations of missing court dates for drunk driving incidents that can land him up to 2 years in French Prison. If you think about it Alizée may be in that 75% tax bracket herself... I wonder how she is holding up? Anyway, if you earn for example 3 million euros, it's... about 20% of 1000,000 + 75% of 2000,000 200,000 + 1,500,000 = 1,700,000€. Almost like in Finland. The difference is just that here is little bit different system and if you earn this 3 million euros, it's about 48% of whole incomes. Correct if there's errors...
