My first msg in this thread was unfortunately incoherent (I apologize, I lost the first draft). The point I meant to make was that in my experience, people who post under pseudonyms often have an "agenda"; either they're pumping/slamming a product/etc., or they're trying to get around a ban, or they're trying to get attention (e.g., claiming they have an obscure disease). I guess I just couldn't think of a reasonable agenda for Alizée to actually have for posting under a fake name. If she wanted to post about anything more than really "generic" topics, then she would probably want to concoct a backstory (e.g., I discovered Alizée playing WoW or what have you) and assemble a fake persona. That's that I meant when I said it didn't seem the mental effort. But maybe I'm not being creative enough. What kinds of topics would you want to post about if you were in such a position?
And given what I saw after the moi-alizee.com thing, I think there are plenty of vigilant and very detail-oriented people on this forum who would chase down things fast. Last edited by fsquared; 06-17-2007 at 01:32 AM..
